Here's a "throw-back" from my very first sketchcrawl experience (March 2005). I thought I'd put it up since I recently watched "Just like heaven". I can't believe they filmed in North Beach, San Francisco, right in front of the St. Francis of Assissi's Church.

It's an event where people from different corners of the world join in a day of sketching and journaling and then have everyone share the results on an online forum.

The next one (Sketchcrawl #5) is scheduled for November 13. I hope everyone can join?!
The co-founders of Sketchcrawl: Enrico Casarosa and Ronnie del Carmen (2 storyboard artist from Pixar) are the coolest. Please visit thier links if you haven't done so. You'll find some awesome sketches.
I like these. They feel very whimsical. And you don't 'overdraw'. I do that quite a bit.
Love the style of these sketches
Thanks Chuang and Alina. I just got off the phone with my mom (who now lives in Seattle) and she just happened to check out my blog and informed me that she and my dad got married in that exact church. I'm sort of ashamed to say that "I should have known that already". But it's always great to find out more about my parents now that I'm older.
