Jiggly Jello Time!!!

Many thanks!

So where'd the inspiration come from for this particular design? My mom, of course! She's a Jello Master and makes a yummy cathedral jello. Kinda like this one :)

Photo belongs to Con nie Ven er acion

My mom would make this delicious dessert for special occasions: Easter, Christmas, potlucks, etc. But I'm sure if you ask nicely..... she can whip up one on the spot....Mmmmmm.

There's always room for Jello.... but not when it's a Jello Prank! Thought I'd take the popular office prank to a whole new level... a gaming level

After numerous sketches and planning a particular angle of the video game controller..... it's time to.... PIXELATE!

NINJA-Style!

Ninjas are mysterious, skillful and.... just plain Awesome! My first exposure to Ninjas were back in the 80's... with films like "Enter the Ninja" and "Revenge of the Ninja". Then I saw G.I. Joe on TV and witnessed a cartoon version of a ninja....named Stormshadow!

So here's another idea that's been brewing after my first entry (Previous Blog Post).

VIKING ROAR!

After a handful of viking thumbnails & sketches, here's the one design that jumped out at me!

It took longer than I anticipated... to pixelate this but it sure was satisfying to finally finish.

Petaluma Marina, Ca

(9"x12" pastels on watercolor board)

This particular spot is just before going into the town of Petaluma. Very close to the local Marina and large dog park. Nice easy trail to hike with plenty of activity... fishing, biking, jogging.... oh, and painting! I anticipated walking 20-30 minutes in... but luckily found this tiny pond immediately. It was nice to try painting later in the day. Softer lighting and deeper shadows. As much as I prefer this lighting the drawback is losing the natural light much faster! I guess that means... paint faster?! LOL. I decided to bust out the ol' pastels this time around. I thought set-up/clean-up would be much faster vs. watercolors. But in the end... I think it takes the same amount of time. Rain in the forecast this week so back to sketch cards and commissions :)
