Discovered a coffee house near by, called Marin Coffee Roaster's. Such a great atmosphere to sketch...I'll have to start a napkin sketch pile from this place. I've only visited on the weekends, but they have great latte's, pastries, breakfast burritos, croissant sandwiches and oatmeal....I highly recommend the "Irish Oatmeal", I can't go back to Quaker Oats - it's that good! (live music on Satuday & Sunday mornings).

Great--more napkin sketches! The coffee house sounds like a place I could live at. Nice description. We had a wonderful independently run coffee shop back in college (Edinboro, PA) that had all kinds of original art hanging up, music-themed nights (bands and djs), even the mugs were all original ceramic work by artists. My friends and I would head there to draw, joke, get philosophical, or just chill. It was a great alternative to the bar an frat party scene but was unfortunately closed down because the building owner had issues with the "noise" at night (though those weren't the real reasons--too long a story). I always dreamed of opening up one myself for artists, djs, and music people to hang but rent is insane here in Northern VA.
This makes me want to drink coffee. *sigh*
I tried drawing on a napkin in a coffee shop once, but then I got the brilliant idea to color the drawing with coffee... and the napkin disintegrated into a pile of mush.
Great character in the guy in the hat, there!
These are V cooool napkin drawings!! NEATO!!
